Outliner
The Outliner displays all the objects you've created. Within the Outliner, you can organize objects, group them, toggle their states, and configure materials.

Displayed Objects
- The objects you create are classified into different sections: "Solids," "Sheets," "Curves," "Meshes," "Images", "Measurements", and "Instances."

Displayed Construction Planes
- Saved construction planes are classified into "Planes" and are listed in the "Added Planes" menu in the right side of the screen.


Organize Objects
- Right-click on a section label ("Solids," "Sheets," "Curves," "Meshes," "Images", "Instances", and "Measurements") and choose "Select all" to select all objects within that section.
- You can reorganize the Outliner by dragging and dropping objects.
Active Collection
- When you double click on a group in the Outliner, you set it as the active collection, where new objects will be placed by default. The active collection is indicated by a highlight color.
- The highlight color of the active collection can be changed in Preferences > Appearance > Supporting Color.

Group Objects
Grouping allows you to better organize your objects.

Right-click on a group folder to access related commands.

| Dissolve | Removes the group folder while keeping the objects inside intact. |
| Delete recursively | Removes the group folder and all objects contained within it. |
Alt-click on folder in outliner to select all objects in that section.
Rename Objects
- To rename an object, double-click on its name or press F2.
- To rename multiple objects at once, hold down the Shift key while selecting them, and then, while still holding Shift, double-click on one of their names or press F2.
Locate Objects in the Outliner

To bring a selected object to the top of the Outliner
- Select object in the 3D viewport, hover your cursor over the Outliner, and press /.
- Alternatively, select the object and click (2) and choose "Scroll to selection."
To isolate a selected object in the Outliner
- Select the object in the Outliner and press .. This will collapse all groups and sections except for the one containing your selected object.
- Alternatively, select the object and click (2) and choose "Isolate selection."
To delete empty groups in the Outliner
- Empty groups are displayed as dimmed in the Outliner. To remove them, click (2) and select "Delete empty groups."
To search in the Outliner
Use the Outliner's search to quickly locate files, groups, or objects by name.
- Open the search field by clicking the search icon in the Outliner (1), or press Ctrl + F.
- Type the name of the file, group, or object you want to find.
Toggle Object States
You can toggle the states of objects or groups, such as making them temporarily hidden or visible, disabled or enabled, and locked or unlocked.

Operations in the Outliner
Click on the icons next to objects or groups to change their states. You can also change states in bulk by selecting multiple objects.
- : Toggle hide - Temporarily hides an object from the viewport without affecting how it is processed. The object remains active in the background.
- : Toggle disable - Disables the object entirely, removing it from the viewport and excluding it from processing. This reduces computational load and can be useful when working with complex scenes.
- : Toggle lock - Locks the object to prevent accidental selection or modification.
Operations by shortcut
You can also use shortcuts to change the states of objects or groups.

Material Color
You can assign materials to Solids, Sheets, and Curves. Any material set on a group is automatically applied to every object within that group.

In the Outliner you can:
- View each object's material color as a colored dot.
- Copy a material's color by dragging its dot onto another dot.
- Set material colors for entire groups, with the same drag and drop copying method.
- Right click an object to open a menu for setting, removing, or forking its material.
- Select multiple objects and apply or clear materials in bulk.
- Assign a material directly by dragging a color dot onto the object in the 3D viewport.
Toggle Sidebar Visibility
Toggle the visibility of the outliner and window's right sides.
